LEE BREAKWATER
shore dive
A great dive for
beginners, it is almost impossible to become disorientated. Over
50 different species of fish are there to greet divers,
including Morwongs, Leatherjackets, Cowfish, Sweep, Scaly fin,
Globe Fish, Bull's-eye, Whiting, Snapper, Trevally, Banner Fish,
Cuttlefish, Gurnard, Wrasse, Bastard Trumpeter, Old wife's, Long
snouted boarfish, Nudibranchs, Moonlighters and Sea Carp a
couple of times a year you can see angel sharks in the sand on
the bottom.
Easy entry and exit points all the way along the breakwater. A
fantastic night dive.

LIGHTHOUSE
REEF
shore or boat dive
This is a
sheltered reef of around 1.5 square nautical miles, there is an
immense diversity of marine life - including Weedy sea dragons,
Cat sharks, Nudibranchs, Sweep, Gurnard, Flounder, Soft sponges
are in all colors if you are a keen photographer this is a great
dive.
***Make sure you tow a dive flag
when diving in this area***
Depth: 3-4 metres
Travel time: Boat - 2 minutes

MINERVA REEF
shore or boat
dive
A reef with a very
good variety of marine life. There are thousands of fossilized
sharks teeth in this area, if you look carefully you might find
a few. Crayfish and Abalone can be found under and around the
ledges at this site.
***You must have a current Victorian
fishing license to take Crayfish and Abalone
Check rules, regulations and seasons***
Depth: 3-5 metres with
over 7 different levels
Travel time: Boat - 5 minutes

SAXON REEF
boat dive
This is an
artificial wreck reef, the surrounding reef has interesting swim
throughs and overhangs with good marine growth and fish life.
Look out for the residential wobbygong hanging around in this
area, makes a great photo, but be careful as he is about 10ft
long.
***A dive flag must be visible in
this area as it is a high boating area***
Depth: 8-10 metres
Travel time: boat - 5 minutes

NARGRA
REEF
boat dive
Located in the North Shore area this site has
it all, sharks teeth, Weedy Seadragons and in abundance other
marine life. Gorgonian coral is magnificent in this area. You
can get great dive times on this reef as there is so much to
see and you don't have to swim far to see it.
***A dive flag must be visible in this
area as it is a high boating area***
Depth: 13m
Travel time: 10 minutes from the boat ramp
Qualifications: Open Water |

EMILY S
boat dive
About 350 meters of the rock on
the sheltered side, lies "The Emily S" beautifully upright and carefully
prepared for scuba divers. She was towed out to this spot and scuttled on
the 1st of September 1991. A great dive, especially at night. The marine
life is great and the reefs and ledges around the bottom are full of life.
***Check boating conditions if you are taking
your own boat***
Depth: 24 metres
Travel time: 24 minutes
Qualifications: Open Water, Cave or Wreck for penetration |
